Baking Soda Deodorant on Tender Skin
This is an update to my earlier post in using baking soda as a deodorant. If for any reason your skin is tender (after shaving your armpits or so) don’t apply it, and wait until back to normal sensitivity, because it might burn.

hey, just wanted to drop by and say that i was using baking soda for about two days and it was working great (i was also applying it at night). i don’t shave (i had waxed my underarms about 4 days before even starting) so i didn’t think there’d be a problem. but then the baking soda started burning a little bit more (the first times it had stung a little too) and now i have a huge rash. i’ll try mixing it with corn starch like you said. lets hope that helps

Thank you Macaroni for your response!
Did this start with the heat?
Yes, the corn starch is a great solution.
I normally apply the baking soda after a shower in the daytime, not sure if that can make a difference
Perhaps you could stop for a while, and then use it again alternating with a “regular” (perhaps also natural) deodorant.
Also, instead of rubbing the baking soda when applying it, just pad it or apply it with a cotton ball.
Wish this helps! Victoria
